WALES | Away Kit Concept 2021

I imagined how the traditional weaving methods in Welsh culture could potentially translate into an iconic football kit interpretation. I was particularly interested in the seemingly simple binary techniques of ‘carthen’ production, and how industrial revolution style input techniques are still used today.

As inspiration, I decided to focus on the bold, unique patterns and designs of the World famous family run mill - Melin Tregwynt in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
